Pisces, meaning fish; is collection of Maheshwari Sarees inspired from the colours and patterns of exotic fishes. The challenge was to translate the aesthetics of the fish which is very organic into something two dimensional and structural, that is a woven cloth. The motifs and borders used in the collection are inspired from the historic architectures of Maheswar.

Maheshwari sarees are sarees woven with very fine silk and cotton yarn. It is made in a small town Maheshwar which is situated in Madhya Pradesh. The traditional sarees are inspired from the ancient architectures of Maheswar. The peculiarities of the sarees are; the fineness of the fabric, reversible borders and the use of texture, thickness and colour of the yarns to create amazing stripes and grids.
